Expansion of Chennai City

Chennai, which is the capital of Tamil Nadu had a very wide range in its land area. At present, the land area covered by Chennai is about 176 square kilo meter. Now this Tamil Nadu government has a plan to enlarge the area of Chennai city. Now Chennai has become one of crowded city in India. Chennai, which has lot of Industries,Factories and IT parks in it. Residential area in Chennai is also getting enlarged day by day. Tamil Nadu government had a big plan to enlarge this Chennai for about 420 square kilo meters which is now impossible to make it to happen. So, as a small project, initially they planned to expand the city for about 80 square kilo meters, that is, from720 square kilo meters they going to expand it to 800 square kilo meters. The main purpose of this project is to develop higher order local bodies in the city. This expansion includes Avadi and Tambaram as the new part of Chennai, which is going to get included in the already existing area. This enlargement will surely help us to develop many IT parks and residence in Chennai, which makes people to feel comfortable.
