Claim

Guys, found a site which is related with the Claim. The number of people who have been injured in motor vehicle crashes, caused by alcohol, has more than doubled in the past four years in Hartlepool, Police figures have reported.Motorists were given a stark warning as police officers ordered them to beware of drinking and driving to avoid injuries.A total of four arrests, due to drinking and driving and causing an injury, were reported in 2008, but this has risen to seven during 2009.2010 saw this reduced by five, but Hartlepool has seen nine so far in 2011 before the festive period has started. These figures show a 125% increase on figures presented in 2008.

However, the Cleveland Police Force has reported that across their whole jurisdiction there had been a reduction of 46 to 27 arrests since 2008, which is a 41% decrease.Statistics for arrested drink drivers were also released, even if they were not part of an accident. These statistics revealed a decrease of 61% across Hartlepool and the Cleveland Force’s area; from 84 four years ago to 67 in 2009, then 54 in 2010, and finally 32 from October 2011.Cleveland registered a total of 708 arrests in 2011, which is a decrease from 862 in 2010, 1,073 two years before, and 939 for 2008.

Police will be carrying out random checks during the festive season both day and night in problem areas in order to stop any more accidents from happening.
